Staying In A Hostel Puts You Right In The (Bloody) Heart of the Action on Halloween

This is Halloween. This is Halloween....
This is Halloween. This is Halloween….

Halloween in Las Vegas is almost like every other day here with the exception that there are just a few more people in costume throughout the day. Teasing aside, Halloween is a big event here for us in Las Vegas. Not only is it “Nevada Day” where our state officially joined the United States’ union in 1864 (the more you know), but there are a lot of fantastic events and parties for monsters and ghouls of all ages.

Hit the Parties and Events Las Vegas in True Haunted Style

If you’re looking for parties, the Strip and Downtown’s Fremont Street Experience excel in providing the best in entertainment and spectacle. Between the overhead “Viva Vision” light show and every casino in celebration, the Fremont Street Experience is full of costumes, spooky music and contests for best costume (just remember: No masks in casinos or no nudity anywhere). The Strip is also known for having great club events and plenty of holiday drink specials. Parties range from scary to sexy to full of classic horror, so there is an option for everyone. Or, if you just want to relax and take in a show, “Evil Dead: The Musical 4D” still conjures up the undead and plenty of fake blood (bring a rain slicker – no, seriously).

Visit a Haunted House

If you’re more along the line of facing a few scares for the season, then Las Vegas delivers in full. The Fright Dome at Circus Circus’ Adventuredome is a long running favorite (now in its 13th year).  The five-acre experience features popular and original creations that are all designed to frighten all ages. If you need a little more of a “scare experience,” Freakling Bros. Horror Shows presents a “Trilogy of Terror,” complete with the “Gates of Hell,” the first truly “R” attraction.  For something a little more involving, check out “Operation Zombie Apocalypse,” a two-hour tour that is the closest thing you’ll get to a real-world undead infestation.

Trick or Treat on the Strip

If blood-curdling screams aren’t your personal recreation of choice, then there are plenty of places to fill your sweet tooth in Las Vegas. Springs Preserve presents a “Haunted Harvest” with mazes, candy, and live entertainment. Opportunity Village features the “Zombie Bash” with train rides, zombie makeovers, cocktail bars and live DJ music. The Linq Promenade also features their own “Triq or Treat” with street performers, live music, a “Thriller” flash mob, cash giveaways and plenty of candy.

Whatever your preference, the city of Las Vegas comes alive with the dead on Halloween night, and you’ll want a great place to stay in the heart of (and recover from) all of the action.
